BIO-key - December 2009
BIO-key International is a fingerprint biometrics solutions provider based in New Jersey. The company recently underwent a major change in product offering and called on ALarkin Design to develop a new, exciting front page that borrowed from the existing branding but reflected the recent company changes, with the intention of overhauling the rest of the site at a later date. The result is a site that is predominantly Flash with some user-managed content. The internal site still uses the original design.
Peaceful City Sangha - September 2009
Peaceful City Sangha is a spirital group based in Philadelphia, PA who needed a web presence that reflected the humility and simplicity of the group and provided the members with a way to post events and information. ALarkin Design donated time to develop an aesthetic design with a simple content management solution that reflects the intentions and traditions of the sangha.
Stateside Associates - August, 2009
Stateside Associates is a state and local legislative monitoring company that needed a much more professional look for their site. ALarkin Design provided them with a clean, exiting look that focuses on integration with social networking sites and interactive material. The site is updated almost daily, so the need for a stable server-side content management was great.
Healthcare Access Links - June, 2009
Healthcare Access Links is a networking resource site for healthcare professionals. Healthcareaccesslinks.com is a general information resource site for healthcare professionals, including job search functionality and event planning. Healthcareaccesslinksbiz.com (pictured above) is far more complex, involving a complex custom regitration module that provides members with access to directory listings, advertisment banners, secure bulletin boards and listings for businesses for sale, all managed by front-end users.
Aftermath Guild - May, 2009
An unusual project for ALarkin Design, www.aftermathguild.net was a project designed for a group of online video game players inolved with the popular World of Warcraft game published by Blizzard Entertainment. The site does use a imagery from the game, but is largely original graphics designed to fit really any online game, not specifically the one this group plays. The site is features a XML parse of character information pulled from game data freely posted online.
Borough of Glenolden, Pennsylvania - February, 2009
Glenolden is a borough in the greater Philadelphia area which had web presence that was disorganized and not maintained. The goal of this project was to provide the borough with a site that looked professional, organized and modern yet was easy to maintain for busy town employees. The use of a server-side content management system and easy to manage online directory allows the borough to keep residents up to date about all ongoing events.
Rochester Formal Wear - January, 2009
Rochester Formal Wear is a local formal wear rental service located in the Cherry Hill, NJ area. Looking to differentiate themselves from the larger rental brands they required an update to their existing site with an emphasis on the actual store location in hopes of driving traffic there, instead of doing business online.
